Infants
Can infants really learn the alphabet? They absolutely can. Children can learn the alphabet and discern between letters at a very young age, long before they can speak. These video above help get children learning the alphabet, which is obviously a critical first step in learning to read. The videos on the computer seem to work better than flashcards do.
If you just let your child watch these videos, it will help them learn the alphabet. But if you sit with them, go over the letters with them, excited and animated, it will exponentially make a difference!
One key: make sure the video says the letter at the same time the letter appears. Alphabet songs where the video does not match can be great but they will not work as well in terms of learning the alphabet as if they do not properly associate the letter with both audio and video.
